Kaori & Ellie prt. 34

Kaori & Ellie prt. 34

"You know, how it is..you think you know that person every which way..and then you don't." Milo said while he was drying dishes while Yuggi was washing up what was left of the supper dishes.

"Are we talking about Ellie?" Yugi almost winced a wink.

"Could be." He put a cup away and started drying a bowl. Of course, there were only three bowls. Actually, a trio of dinnerware in the cupboard. It didn't take long to clean up for the three of them.

Tan was in his room studying in one of his school workbooks.

"So..she doesn't talk to you, anymore?" Yugi looked at Milo as if he was a bit sad for him.

"Not, unless I call, and I'm trying not, too." He nodded. Thankfully, work kept him busy. If he wasn't sitting in as an extra in a cafe for a drama, he was helping move props around. It wasn't the most exciting job in the world, but he didn't have time to wonder about Ellie. "I guess..its working its self out."

He didn't want to jinx it, but he'd made a friend at the studio. She was not an actress nor an extra, only, he thought she could be. Her name was Ka Ra. The first person he met there who not only showed him the ropes, but was there to help him with the language, too. She'd actually studied in New York City and knew lots of the places he did.

"Imagine that?" He smiled thinking about the landmarks they'd both been too, yet at different times. There was something a little kismet about it.

"Aw, you've been smitten." Yugi told him.

"Huh?" Milo winced. He cracked up with a soft laugh. "No, she's just being nice to me, because she has to be." He felt certain of it.

"Why don't you call her?" Yugi grinned.

"What?" Milo looked at him blankly. He didn't want to start anything. After all, he was still waiting for Ellie.

"And then what?" Yugi told him he might not like what he was waiting for.

Milo's phone hummed a CLASH tune. He smiled when he looked at the number. It was Ka Ra.
